GIVE ME 12 WEEKS AND

I'LL TEACH YOU HOW TO EXERCISE WITH TYPE 1 DIABETES!

You know you need to exercise, but HOW you exercise makes all the difference.

As a Type 1 Diabetic, exercise is vital to ensuring healthy management of blood glucose levels.  But, not all exercise programs are effective for Type 1 Diabetics.  Sometimes we drop too low.  Other times our blood glucose skyrockets after.  But now, there is Fit4T1D.

Fit4T1D is the first workout program built from the ground up specifically for Type 1 Diabetics.  By combining advanced assessment techniques with an in-depth understanding of how exercise affects blood glucose levels, Fit4T1D creates an exercise plan that is completely customized to your body's needs and abilities.

Introducing the Fit4T1D Program -

HOW you exercise makes all the difference

RESISTANCE TRAINING

As a Type 1 Diabetic, Resistance Training is an absolute MUST for you to be doing.  That is why it will be the predominant focus of your Fit4T1D program.

FOCUS

What you are thinking about while you are exercising can make or break the effectiveness of your workout.  I will teach you what you need to be focusing on to get the results you want.

INTENSITY

The #1 variable for Type 1 Diabetics to control with their exercise is the intensity of their workouts.  The Fit4T1D program will teach you how to exercise at the proper intensity for more stable blood glucose levels.

JOINT FRIENDLY

My biomechanically-based approach to exercise helps ensure the exercises you do are appropriate for your joints. This promotes the health & longevity of your joints, allowing you to continue being active for years to come.

The 2 Biggest Exercise Concerns of Type 1 Diabetics Are Not Typically Addressed...

Until Now.

I am constantly hearing 2 MAJOR frustrations from other Type 1 Diabetics when it comes to exercise:

  1. How can I exercise without my blood glucose crashing down or spiking up?
  2. How can I exercise so my body feels good instead of achy and beat up?

While most physicians, health care practitioners, and diabetes-focused websites promote the idea that Type 1 Diabetics should be exercising, we are never taught specifically HOW to exercise to help manage our blood glucose. This was something I struggled with for over two decades until I finally figured out what changes needed to take place to my exercise routine so I didn't go on a blood glucose roller coaster before, during, and after my workouts. This is what I want to teach YOU with Fit4T1D - the first exercise program built from the ground up to help Type 1 Diabetics exercise in a safe, effective, and sustainable manner.

With Fit4T1D You Get:

A customized resistance training program based on your biomechanical needs (This program is built from the ground up based on the results of your assessment)

A biomechanics assessment to determine where your biggest issues are

(This helps me create an exercise plan that is safe for your joints)

Weekly education seminars to teach you the nuances of exercising as a Type 1 Diabetic

(There are 4 main variables to control, and I will be helping you do so every step of the way)

An online support group to hold you accountable and keep you connected with others who are on the same journey

(Creating the lifelong habit of exercise can be easier when you know you aren't doing it alone)

There Are 4 Variables You NEED To Consider

#1 - Intensity

How intense is your workout? Both low-intensity and high-intensity can cause blood glucose swings if the intensity is not appropriately monitored.

#2 - Insulin (Relative to Blood Glucose)

How much insulin do you have on board before you start exercising?  Are you going to be receiving insulin while you are exercising?

#3 - Food  (Relative to Blood Glucose)

When was the last time you ate?  When are you planning on eating again?  Will you be eating during your workout?  What about exercising while fasted?

#4 - Time Of Day

Are you exercising in the morning?  Middle of the day?  In the evening?  What considerations do you need take with your blood glucose levels for each?

If You Are Exercising With Type 1 Diabetes

With the Fit4T1D Program, you will learn how to control all of these variables so you can exercise in a safe, effective, and sustainable manner.

ABOUT ME

Hi, I'm Charlie, and I was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes back in 1996. Since then, I have been experiencing how exercise and different ways of working out affect my blood glucose levels.

From playing four years of college basketball, biking through the entire state of Wisconsin, hiking the Grand Canyon, and training as a powerlifter, I have experienced many different forms of exercise. And through it all I have noticed some consistent trends with how certain ways of exercising affect blood glucose levels.

As a Type 1 Diabetic, I was told early on that exercising was something I needed to do. However, I was never given any guidelines as to HOW to exercise, and this is what makes all the difference.

After graduating with a master's degree in exercise science back in 2016, I started applying what I had learned in the classroom to what I was doing with myself and my clients in the gym. By applying very specific exercise principles and controlling for certain variables, exercise has become something that has stabilized my blood glucose levels instead of sending them on a roller coaster ride.

I have taken this work and put it together in the Fit4T1D program - the first exercise program that is built from the ground up to help Type 1 Diabetics exercise in a safer, more sustainable manner.

In order to keep the quality of the program high, I can only accomodate a limited number of clients at one time. So, if you think Fit4T1D might be a good fit for you, apply below so we can connect more!

MY GUARANTEE TO YOU

You will have a customized Fit4T1D exercise program shared with you via Google Drive.  In this online program is where you will see what you need to do for your exercises.  Each exercise in your program will have an instructional video linked to it that you will be able to watch and learn how to do the exercise properly.

Is there a payment plan option or do I have to pay in full upfront?

You will have 2 payment options - pay in full upfront to receive the Fit4T1D program at a discounted rate, or pay weekly for the 12 week duration of the Fit4T1D program.  Whatever works for you works for me :-)

As far as length of time of each workout, you can expect that each workout will last anywhere from 20-40 minutes depending on where in the program you are.

What happens at the end of 12 weeks?

After you complete your 12-week program, you will have 2 options - 1) Keep going on your own doing the same workouts you just did for the past 12 weeks; or 2) We start with a new assessment to find out what changes have occured with your body over the past 12 weeks and create a new Fit4T1D program for you accordingly.
